Lake Ledro, praised for the quality of its waters, is the ideal base for an active holiday: from swimming to water sports, from trekking to mountain-bike descents.

  Hiking

  Valle di Ledro is ideal for not-too-demanding hikes on the surrounding mountains. From the peaks you can enjoy views over the valley, over Lake Ledro and Lake Garda, all the way to the Dolomites, a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site. Of great interest is the “Sentiero delle malghe di Molina e Legos”, which climbs from the Pur plain past five alpine huts. Detailed “Sentieri CAI-SAT” maps are available at our houses. Horse-riding and carriage rides are also possible, with riding stables at Pur and at Ampola in Tiarno di Sopra.

  Mountain biking

  Valle di Ledro alone boasts over 200 km of waymarked trails, suitable for beginners and professionals alike. Several businesses in the valley offer mountain-bike hire, and our houses provide “Itinerari mountain bike tours” maps with routes, trails, roads and mule tracks.

  Climbing

  Valle di Ledro offers a wide range of easy-to-medium climbing routes: Regina del Lago above the Strada del Ponale, Pizzocol in Val Concei, and the crag in the Ampola valley. In summer, next to the Nido Verde pub in Pieve di Ledro, an artificial climbing wall is open every day from 5 to 9 pm, always staffed by instructors.

  Paragliding

  Thanks to the valley's natural shape, paragliding is very popular: every year many guests try the experience of flying above the Ledro sky. Take-off points are scattered throughout the valley, with qualified guides available.

  Canyoning

  A high-adrenaline sport that involves descending streams and natural rock slides through narrow gorges carved into the rock: you follow the flow of the water through dives, jumps and rope descents. Several local agencies organise outings.

  Water sports

  Sailing, catamaran, canoeing, pedalo boating and windsurfing on the lake's calm waters, ideal even for a first attempt on the board. In Pieve di Ledro, the Circolo Vela sailing club runs summer courses. The lake hosts events such as the Trentino Match Race and, with the proper licence, you can fish for trout, tench, perch and pike.
