The area
Lake Ledro
An alpine lake at 655 metres above sea level, set among the mountains of south-western Trentino, just 10 km from Lake Garda.
Nature, silence and turquoise water
Valle di Ledro is just twenty minutes from Riva del Garda, yet it feels like another world: fresh air, a slower pace of life and a lake of unmistakable colour, surrounded by meadows and woods. The lake and the mountains around it make the valley a uniquely scenic and natural destination, earning it the nickname “open-air gym”: an excellent base for hikes on the surrounding peaks, for the lakeside cycle-and-pedestrian path, or for discovering the villages that shape everyday life in the valley.
Clear, swimmable waters
Lake Ledro is one of the cleanest alpine lakes in Trentino: turquoise water, a pebbly lakebed and pleasant temperatures from June to September.
Beaches and lidos
Equipped beaches at Pieve di Ledro, Mezzolago and Molina di Ledro, with bars, pedalo and SUP hire, lawns for sunbathing and a dog-friendly beach.
Pile Dwelling Museum
At Molina di Ledro, the Bronze Age pile-dwelling village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: an ideal visit, even with children.
Valley and villages
Bezzecca, Pieve, Tiarno di Sopra and di Sotto, Concei: authentic villages amid meadows and woods, with memories of the Great War and alpine huts reachable on foot.
An open-air gym
The valley's nickname says it all: mountain-bike routes of even international standing, walking and horse-riding trails, Nordic walking, climbing and tennis.
10 km from Lake Garda
Riva del Garda and its lake are just minutes away, yet here the silence and slow pace of a peaceful setting remain, far from mass tourism.
