A holiday tailor-made for families

Family on holiday on the shores of Lake Ledro

A clean, blue lake, pile dwellings, green meadows and waterfalls, themed trails immersed in nature and the fresh mountain air. A holiday in Val di Ledro is truly designed with people and families in mind. Nothing is missing when it comes to sport, fun and relaxation, but those seeking peace and quiet, good facilities and quality accommodation for children and families will also find everything they need!

Here everything is close at hand and comfort comes as standard. The four equipped public beaches on the shores of Lake Ledro feature both green lawns and sand, making them perfect for families with young children. Thanks to shallow waters and warm, calm conditions, Lake Ledro is like a huge swimming pool for learning to swim or perfecting technique. Each beach also offers bar and dining facilities, toilets and a huge range of games and activities: slides, swings, tennis and beach volleyball courts, and paddle-boat and boat hire.

Those staying longer can enrol their children in sailing and canoeing courses for kids, or have them take part in the enjoyable Palafittando workshops and events at the Pile Dwelling Museum, right on the lakeshore, which also organises guided tours. While the children have safe fun, parents can enjoy some well-deserved relaxation by the lake, or set off on foot or by mountain bike along one of the area's many trails.

With over 200 km of trails, you can choose your outing based on the needs of your family: several routes are also suitable for children, and some can even be tackled with a pushchair!

These include, for example, the circuit around Lake Ledro, entirely on an unpaved footpath or a quiet, lightly trafficked road. You can immerse yourself in history by visiting the trenches of Bezzecca, a border area that was the scene of numerous battles, from Garibaldi's in 1866 to the First World War. For a breath of fresh air, the Val Concei Nature Trail is perfect. Finally, the sight of the Gorg d'Abiss waterfall is truly spectacular: children will be left open-mouthed at the sheer power of nature!

Don't forget to bring a blanket and a packed lunch: you can put together a fun picnic in one of the many equipped areas, making your family day outdoors even more special.
